Evaluation of ecological product value transformation capability:a case study of the integrated protection and restoration project for mountains-rivers-forests-farmlands-lakes-grasslands system
Creating a scientific and effective ecological product value transformation capability evaluation system is crucial for comprehensively assessing the effects of ecological restoration projects, promoting the effective transformation of ecological value, and enhancing the socio-economic benefits of ecological restoration projects.Taking the ecological restoration project of mountains-rivers-forests-farmlands-lakes-grasslands in the source area of Qiantang River as an example,a set of evaluation systems for the capability of ecological product value transformation is constructed by examining three key aspects:the effectiveness of ecological product protection, the effectiveness of ecological value transformation, and the mechanism of ecological value transformation guarantee. The study results show that during the implementation of the landscape project, the ecological product value transformation capabilities of the research area and its four counties(cities)have achieved significant improvements but there are certain spatial differences. In addition, the study found that there is an imbalance in the intensity of ecological governance in the landscape project, and there is still room for improvement in the transformation capability of ecological product value. Therefore,it is recommended to simultaneously promote the construction of protection and value transformation mechanisms for ecological products, and further improve the methods and related strategies for accounting the value of ecological products,in order to optimize the effects of ecological restoration projects and realize their greater value.
