There are many uncertain factors in the construction of hydropower projects,resulting in various economic is-sues and large workload.Thus,economic issue management plays an important role in the engineering construction man-agement.Based on the construction process management practice of a certain hydropower project,information technology is introduced into the economic issue management with the management approaches as the starting point and the"Regu-lation on Engineering Change(Claim)Management"of the construction units as criterion.The information technology effectively eliminates the problems in the economic issue management such as untimely handling,unclear targets,low work efficiency,and unclear economic accounts,and greatly improves the management efficiency and ability.
