Application of Double-piston Air Brake in the Renovation of Bajiaohe Hydropower Plant
Considering the problems and defects in the usage of the single-piston air brake in Bajiaohe Hydropower Plant,a renovation scheme is proposed to change it to a double-piston type.The double-piston air brake has an angle self-adjusting ability,which ensures the effective transmission of the braking force.The cylinder diameter and piston size of the brake are increased to enhance the braking force and improve the overall reliability of the system.The separate de-sign of the hydraulic system and the pneumatic system makes the braking response faster and ensures the safety and sta-bility.With the renovation of the brake,a series of safety hazards of the units are successfully solved,such as the brake not returning to its proper position for a long time after the unit shutdown,inaccurate signal feedback,and the inability of the units to automatically start-up again,which provides strong guarantees for the safe production and economic benefits.
