Stability Analysis of Longtang Reservoir Dam against Deep Sliding
The foundation of the gravity dam in Longtang Reservoir is of many gently inclined fracture surfaces with dif-ferent orientations.The dominant fracture surfaces of the foundation and the deep sliding mode of the dam are determined by surficial geological survey and exploration adits and drilling.Then,the rigid body limit equilibrium method and the fi-nite element stress integration method are adopted to analyze the stability of the foundation of the Longtang gravity dam a-gainst deep sliding.Also,sensitivity analysis is conducted on the inclination angle of the downstream gently inclined fracture surfaces.The results show that the static and dynamic stability safety factors against deep sliding of each dam monolith meet the specification requirements.The stability of the dam is guaranteed.
