The Collection of Ming and Qing Dynasty Maps of South China Sea and the Construction of Visual Search System
The construction of a visual search system is considered a significant breakthrough in the field of artificial intelligence for cultural heritage search.By adopting artificial intelligence technology to collect the historical geographic materials of the Ming and Qing Dynasties'South China Sea maps, this study aimed to objectively and scientifically analyze the problems and cau-ses of the research on the geographical historical materials of the South China Sea maps. Finally, taking the historical materials of the Ming and Qing Dynasties'South China Sea maps as an ex-ample,an empirical study was carried out on the construction of a visual search system. The re-search results show that the historical materials of the Ming and Qing Dynasties'South China Sea maps can be accurately collected through five efficient methods. The collected and sorted da-ta of the historical materials of the Ming and Qing Dynasties'South China Sea maps are labeled with 0 or 1 according to different categories. They are then processed and restored using artifi-cial intelligence digital technology and adjusted for image size and noise reduction. The ANN modeling is continuously adjusted for more efficient and accurate extraction of the characteris-tics of the maps. The characteristics are transformed into digital feature vectors, which are com-pressed and stored in the index library using interpolation method.By inputting the feature vec-tor of the data and searching for the data with the highest match degree, the visual search system can provide users with more comprehensive visual search services. Moreover,it provides valua-ble reference and support for the protection and inheritance of excellent cultural heritage and re-search in other fields.
