Data,as a new type of production factor,has penetrated into every industry and busi-ness field.Insight into the essence(business),predicting trends,and guiding the future are the core of the Big Data era.In the informatization construction of urban water supply and drain-age,big data technology can help enterprises improve their management capabilities in water supply and drainage.By studying the development history of information technology and the current status of data resources in water enterprises,this paper analyzes the gap in water data construction,proposes ideas for water big data governance and the architecture of big data plat-form construction,summarizes the application scenarios of big data technology in urban water supply and drainage,and provides reference for water enterprises in big data construction and ap-plication.
