PREPARATION OF IRON ORE CONCENTRATE POWDER IN DOMESTIC HIGH-GRADE PELLETS FOR GAS-BASED SHAFT FURNACES
With the increasing pressure of carbon emission reduction in the iron and steel industry,the application of gas-based shaft furnace-electric furnace short-process process can effectively reduce carbon emissions,and the preparation process and characteristics of high-grade pellets as raw materials for gas-based shaft furnace smelting are particularly important.In this paper,six different kinds of iron concentrate powders in China are used to prepare high-grade pellets,the preparation process of pellets is described,and the properties of pellets are studied.The results show that the optimal blending scheme is as follows:the mass of ore powder 1 accounts for 70%,the mass of ore powder 2 accounts for 30%,the compressive strength of the ore blending pellet is 11 N/ball,the falling strength is 3.1 times/ball,the ore blending pellet w(FeO)is 1.00%,the iron concentrate pellet w(FeO)is ≥0.59%,the ferrous content is low,the oxidation is sufficient,and the pellet quality is controlled,the compressive strength of the finished ore pellet reaches 3 031 N/ball,and the compressive strength of the iron concentrate pellet is ≥3 200 N/ball.The reducibility index ≥4.000,the reductive expansion index ≥7.45%,LTD+6 3 ≥97.00%,and the LTDUP were all 100%,and the reduction performance was good.Through the technical transformation of the existing equipment and the optimization of the ore blending scheme,the use of domestic iron concentrate powder can be used to prepare high-quality and high-grade pellets that meet the production standards of gas-based shaft furnaces.
