EFFECT OF LOAD ON THE WEAR RESISTANCE OF MEDIUM MANGANESE STEEL
The friction and wear properties of medium manganese wear-resistant steel with smelting process of electric furnace, refining, die casting, rough rolling, finishing rolling, controlled cooling and finished product under different loads were tested by UMT TriboLab friction and wear instrument, and the morphology of the surface wear marks of the sample after friction and wear was quantitatively characterized by white light interferometer, and the depth curve of the friction section was measured. The results show that with the increase of the test load, the friction coefficient increases first and then decreases, when the load reaches 30 N,the friction coefficient reaches the highest value of 0.82,when the load pressure is small(10 N),the friction coefficient gradually decreases with the extension of time, and the depth of the wear mark increases with the increase of load, but it is not linearly related to the increase of load, and the load is 10~30 N,when the load exceeds, the added value of the wear scar depth gradually decreases, and the added value of the wear scar depth does not increase with the increase of the load, showing the phenomenon of first increasing and then decreasing, indicating that the friction and wear mechanism changes after the load increases.
