OPTIMIZATION OF HARDENABILITY OF STEEL 40Mn2 FOR ROLLERS
With the help of hardenability simulation software, the influencing factors of hardenability of 40Mn2 steel for rollers were studied. The results showed that when the Cr content was 0.05%~0.15%,with the increase of Cr content, the J 15mm end quenching value of 40Mn2 steel showed an increasing trend, but when the Cr content exceeded 0.10%,the growth of J15mm end quenching value tended to be flat, when the boron content was 0.000 1%~0.000 6%,with the increase of boron content, the J15 mm end quenching value showed an increasing trend, and the Si content was 0.19%~0.28%In the range, the change of Si content has no effect on the end quenching value of 40Mn2 steel J15 mm.By controlling the boron content of silicon-manganese alloy and ferromanganese in the smelting process ≤70 ppm,it is strictly forbidden to use boron-containing scrap steel,no boric acid is added to the ladle bricks, and the 40Mn2 steel is allowed to be smelted only after the ladle smelts boron-containing steel after 2 turnovers,RH increases the blowing N process, controls the N content in the steel to 60~90 ppm, reduces the target Cr content in the steel from 0.10%to 0.07%,and optimizes the composition of 40Mn2 steel, etc.,and completely solves the problem of excessive end quenching of 40Mn2 steel.
