PHYSICAL PHASE EVOLUTION OF BF SLAG AND CONVERTER SLAG COOPERATIVE TREATMENT
Blast furnace slag and steel slag are the main by-products of iron and steel smelting, which not only have huge output and high treatment difficulty, but also cause serious damage to soil and environment. Therefore, researchers improve the comprehensive utilization ratio of steel slag by adding blast furnace slag with low basicity to existing steel slag.Alkalinity is one of the main parameters affecting the phase of mixed slag. The phase composition and morphology of blast furnace slag and steel slag at Baotou Steel were studied by means of Zeiss high resolution Scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and melting point. The results show that with the increase of the proportion of blast furnace slag, the main calcium phase in the slag system changes from dicalcium silicate to feldspar phase, and the iron phase changes from calcium ferric aluminate to RO phase, the magnesium-bearing phase is gradually transformed from spinel phase to rosopyrite phase and feldspar phase, and the aluminum-bearing phase from spinel phase to feldspar phase. It is indicated that the addition of blast furnace slag with low basicity is helpful to adjust the phase composition of mixed slag, improve the properties of steel slag and improve the comprehensive utilization ratio of steel slag. The study can provide important theoretical and practical reference for further comprehensive utilization of blast furnace slag and steel slag.
