EFFECT OF COOLING PROCESS AFTER ROLLING ON MICROSTRUCTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF BORON CONTAINING BAINITIC STEEL
Boron-containing bainite steel has high strength, high toughness and good weldability. The effect of cooling process after rolling on the microstructure and mechanical properties of boron-containing bainite steel was studied by tensile testing machine, impact testing machine and scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the cooling process after rolling has obvious influence on the microstructure and mechanical properties of rolled, quenched and tempered experimental steels.The-20 ℃ impact energy of the tempering test steel in the air cooling process after rolling is 268 J,and the-20 ℃ impact energy of the tempering test steel in the water cooling process after rolling is 280 J.The impact performance of the tempering test steel in the water cooling process after rolling is the best. The microstructure of rolled test steel under air cooling after rolling is mainly granular bainite, the microstructure of rolled test steel under water cooling after rolling is mainly lath bainite and a small amount of granular bainite, the microstructure of rolled test steel under air cooling after rolling and water cooling is lath bainite, and the microstructure of tempered test steel under air cooling after rolling and water cooling is tempered sorbite.Compared with air cooling after rolling, the microstructure of rolled, quenched and tempered steel under water cooling after rolling is refined.
