OPTIMIZATION OF VANADIUM EXTRACTION FILTRATION SYSTEM BY SODIUM ROASTING
Aiming at the problems of low vanadium recovery rate and high operating cost in the filtration system of vanadium extraction after vanadium slag sodding and roasting, combined with the existing process equipment of the production line,we upgraded and reformed the ball mill leaching and plate and frame filtration system, respectively. In order to avoid the clogging of debris in the conveying process, improve the efficiency of slurry conveying, filtration and washing, the ball mill leaching system is equipped with a drum screen to remove large particles and debris in the slurry, colloidal and fine particles are separated using hydrocyclone, the rotary kiln discharge were research on the impact of matching hydrocyclone equipment, after the optimization and adjustment of the test, three hydrocyclone were set along the movement of filtration belt on each side with the exit diameter of 25 mm and 35 mm,respectively. After the plate and frame filter was replaced by a vacuum belt filter, the maintenance cost of the equipment was reduced by 83.65%.The effects of process parameters were studied experimentally on the filtration efficiency and vanadium yield.Under the optimal process conditions of vacuum belt with 15 mm material layer thickness and gradient washing, the average vanadium content in the tailings decreased from 0.1%to 0.087%,and the vanadium yield increased by 0.53%,realizing high-efficiency operation of the slurry filtration process.
