DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF MACHINE VISION TECHNOLOGY IN BOTTOM BLOWING OF CONVERTER
With the continuous development of industrial intelligence, machine vision technology is widely applied in various fields, and its application in the steel industry is gradually advancing. This article applies machine vision technology to the maintenance and blowing of the converter bottom.A high-temperature machine vision acquisition device is installed near the converter, and machine vision technology is used to collect photos of the furnace bottom air vents. With the support of a secondary system, the collected pictures of the furnace bottom state are summarized and analyzed autonomously to achieve the classification of the furnace bottom air vent state, identify various furnace bottom states such as erosion, excessive thickness, normal, and blockage. The judgment results are presented on the secondary interface and historical heat queries can be performed. The on-site operators set the flow rate of the 12 bottom blowing branch pipes separately based on visual judgment to achieve precise control of the gas flow rate at the bottom blowing outlet.Based on the final slag conditions of the converter, combined with the condition of the converter lining, the tapping temperature of the converter and the composition of the final slag, determine a reasonable position of the converter slag splashing gun, slag splashing time, and slag splashing material addition to achieve accurate slag splashing maintenance of the furnace bottom.Based on visual recognition results, the slag hanging process was designed and automatic slag hanging operation was adopted to solve the problem of exposed/blocked bottom blowing tuyeres caused by uneven bottom erosion, effectively improving the service life of bottom blowing.Under the premise of stable control of carbon and oxygen accumulation in the combined blowing converter not more than 0.001 8,the effective combined blowing furnace life was increased by 15.6%.
