A textual research on the general situation of Hebei Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Baoding)
Hebei Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Baoding)is the earliest provincial-level research institution of traditional Chinese medicine set up by the Health Department of Hebei Province after lib-eration,founded in June,1956,initially known as The Preparatory Office of Hebei Province Institute of Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine.In January,1960,it was officially established as Hebei Provincial Academy of Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine,with a subordinated outpatient department and an affiliated hospital.The institution was abolished in August,1965.Within a short period of ten years from its establishment to its abolition,TCM research has achieved remarkable results.The staff in the institution had attached great importance to clinical practice,they were pragmatic and innovative,and did their best to promote the exchange of TCM through multi-ple channels,and published a large number of high-quality TCM books with far-reaching impact,which has ef-fectively promoted the development of traditional Chinese medicine.Because of the withdrawal of nearly 60 years,some data were lost.Through the verification of historical data,collection of material data,a textual research was conducted on the general situation of Hebei Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Baoding).
