Effects of auriculotherapy with miniature bian needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine emotional intervention on sleep quality and emotional state of patients with anus eczema
Objective To observe the effects of auriculotherapy with miniature bian needle combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emotional intervention on sleep quality and emotional state of patients with anus eczema.Methods From May 2020 to January 2022,a total of 94 patients with anus eczema were randomly assigned into the study group(n =47)and the control group(n =47).All patients were managed by Banbian Zhiyang Decoction and routine health education interven-tion,and those in the study group additionally received auriculotherapy with miniature bian needle combined with TCM emotional intervention.After 4 weeks of intervention,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)(time before falling asleep,sleep time,sleep efficiency,sleep quality,hypnotic drugs,sleep disorders,daytime dysfunction),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rat-ing Depression Scale(SDS),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom score(itching degree,lesion area,rash morpholo-gy,skin wetness),anal function indexes(anal canal rest pressure,anal maximal squeeze pressure,rectal resting pressure)were compared.Results After intervention,PSQI scores and total scores in the both groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.05),which in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).SAS and SDS scores in the both groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.05),which decreased notably in the study group compared with the control group(P＜0.05).TCM symptom scores in the both groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.05),the decrease in the study group was more common than the control group(P＜0.05).The anal function indexes in the both groups were significantly in-creased(P＜0.05),the increase in the treatment group was more prevalent compared with the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion For patients with anus eczema,auriculotherapy with minia-ture bian needle combined with TCM emotional intervention has a definite curative effect,which can effectively improve sleep quality,eliminate bad emotional state,improve TCM symptoms,and promote the recovery of anal function.
