Effect of triamcinolone acetonide injection combined with open sword throat spray on erosive oral lichen planus
Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effects of triamcinolone acetonide injection combined with open sword throat spray on erosive oral lichen planus(EOLP).Methods A total of 100 patients with EOLP were divided into 2 groups by a random number table method. The patients received either triamcinolone acetonide injection combined with open sword throat spray for external use(test group,n =50)or triamcinolone acetonide injection combined with normal saline(control group,n =50)for4 weeks. The curative effectsof the two groups were compared. The changes inmucosal healing(MH)assess-ment scores, visual analogue scale(VAS)for pain,interleukin-6(IL-6)before and after treatment were assessed between groups. The treatment-emergent adverse events(TEAEs)were observed. Results After 4 week treatment, the total effective rate in test group was superior to the control(90.0%[45/50]vs 66.0%[33/50],P<0.05).The patients in the both groups presented significantly lower MH scores,VAS scores, and IL-6 level(all P<0.05),and the improvements were more pro-nounced in the test group than those of control group(all P<0.05).No TEAEsoccurredsuch as diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite and candidal stomatitis in the two groups. Conclusion triamcinolone acetonide injection combined with open sword throat spray in treating EOLP can effectively improve the mucosal symptoms, and it has fewer adverse reaction.
