Clinical observation of Zhengan Qingxin Xifeng Decoction on atopic dermatitis
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Zhengan Qingxin Xifeng Decoction in the treatment of atopic dermatitis(AD).Methods A total of 64 AD patients admitted to our hospital from August 2019 to August 2021 were enrolled,and they were randomized to control group(routine Western medicine[RWM],n =32)and treatment group(Zhengan Qingxin Xifeng Decoction plus RWM,n =32).After 2-month treatment,the aim was to compare the disease severity(including Sco-ring Atopic Dermatitis[SCORAD],dermatology life quality index[DLQI]and eczema area and severity index[EASI]),im-mune function indexes(including T helper-1[Th1],Th2,Th17 and regulatory T[Treg]),and inflammation-related inde-xes(including interleukin 10[IL-10],transforming growth factor-β[TGF-β],IL-17,IL-22 and IL-23)between the two groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(93.8%[30/32]vs 75.00%[24/32],P<0.05).After treatment,patients in the both group had signifi-cantly reduced the scores of SCORAD,EASI and DLQI,significantly increased the levels Th1 and Treg,significantly decreased the levels of Th2 and Th17,significantly lower the levels of IL-10,TGF-β,IL-22 and IL-23 than those before treatment(all P<0.05),and the improvements were more pronounced in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Zhengan Qingxin Xifeng Decoction is effective on AD patients.It can effectively promote the repair of skin lesions,reduce the area of skin lesions,reduce the degree of skin lesions,and improve the quality of life.It is capable of promoting the re-covery of immune balance,controlling the abnormal secretion of inflammatory factors,and inhibiting the inflammatory response by improving immune environment.
