Study on Sitting Postures Ba Duan Jin combined with special respiratory training on postoperative lung function and ex-ercise endurance in patients underwent lung cancer chemotherapy
Objective To study the effect of Sitting Postures Ba Duan Jin combined with specialized respiratory training on postoperative lung function and exercise endurance in patients underwent lung cancer chemotherapy.Methods Totally 120 patients underwent lung cancer chemotherapy admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were assigned to a con-trol group(n =60)and a treatment group(n =60)using a random number table method.All patients received routine nursing care,those in the treatment group additionally received Sitting Postures Ba Duan Jin combined with specialized respiratory train-ing.A 3-month treatment was performed in both groups,aiming to compare the changes in lung function indicators(including peak expiratory flow[PEF],forced expiratory volume in one second[FEV1],FEV1/forced vital capacity[FVC]ratio,6-mi-nute walk test(6-MWT),Revised Piper Fatigue Scale(RPFS)scores(including four dimensions of behavioral fatigue,emo-tional fatigue,physical fatigue and cognitive fatigue),and mental state scores(including Self-Rating Anxiety/Depression Scale[SAS/SDS])between groups before and after treatment.The incidence of pulmonary infection was assessed.Results After treatment,the patients in both groups had significantly increased levels of PEF,FEV1 and FEV1/FVC(P<0.05),significantly elevated score of 6-MWT,significantly decreased RPFS,significantly lower SAS/SDS scores(P<0.05)than those before treatment(all P<0.05),and the improvements were more pronounced in the treatment group than those of the control group(all P<0.05).The incidence of pulmonary infection in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(3.33%[2/60]vs 13.33%[8/60],P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Sitting Postures Ba Duan Jin and specialized respiratory training can improve postoperative lung function and ex-ercise endurance in patients underwent lung cancer chemotherapy.It not only improves status of fatigue and mental health,but also reduces the incidence of pulmonary infection in the patients.
