Improvement effect of nursing intervention of children's fun mode combined with integrative Western and traditional Chinese medicine model for pain management on pain and psychology in children with traumatic fractures
Objective To study the improvement effect of nursing intervention of children's fun mode combined with integrative Western and traditional Chinese medicine model for pain management on pain and psychology in children with traumat-ic fractures. Methods Totally 72 patients with traumatic fractures were randomly assigned to receive either conventional care(n=36,the control group)or nursing intervention of children's fun mode combined with integrative Western and traditional Chi-nese medicine model for pain management(n=36,the study group).A 7-day intervention was performed. The aim was to compare visual analogue scale(VAS)for pain,Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders(SCARED),fracture healing time, disappearing time of swelling, inflammation levels, compliance. Results The VAS scores on days 3 and 7 after intervention in the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The SCARED score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group([12.61±8.92]points vs[28.43±9.27]points,P<0.05).Significantly shorter fracture healing time and disappearing time of swelling, and significantly lower high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)were found in the study group than those of the control group(all P<0.05).The compliance was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For children with traumatic fractures, nursing intervention of children's fun mode combined with integrative Western and tradition-al Chinese medicine model for pain management can effectively improve the severity of pain, psychological status and inflamma-tion level, shorten the fracture healing time and disappearing time of swelling, and improve the compliance.
