Analysis of Chinese medicine hot compress combined with emotional intervention on pain status and lumbar function in conservative treatment for lumbar disc herniation
Objective To analyze the effect of Chinese medicine hot compress combined with emotional intervention in conservative treatment for lumbar disc herniation. Methods A total of 100 patients with lumbar disc herniation underwent con-servative treatment who admitted to our hospital from July 2021 to July 2022 were enrolled, and they were grouped according to the principle of single-blind-random.Patients in the control group(n=50)were given routine intervention, and those in the observation group(n=50)were given Chinese medicine hot compress plus emotional intervention. After 2 weeks, the interven-tion effect, symptom score, pain status, lumbar function, and safety were compared between the two groups. Results After in-tervention,the total effective rate was significantly higher than that of the control group(96.00%vs 78.00%,P<0.05).The TCM symptom scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The visual an-alogue scale(VAS)score in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),while the Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate in the observation group was comparable to that in the control group(8.00%vs 6.00%,P>0.05).Conclusion The application of Chinese medicine hot compress combined with emotional intervention in conservative treatment for lumbar disc herniation can achieve significant results, which can not only improve the intervention effect and reduce symptom scores, but also improve the pain status and lumbar function, and the safety is guaranteed.
