Clinical efficacy of Buqi Xiezhuo Decoction combined with sacubitril/valsartan on type 2 diabetic nephropathyof spleen-kidney qi deficiency
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Buqi Xiezhuo Decoction combined with sacubitril/valsartan on type 2 diabetic nephropathy(DN)of spleen-kidney qi deficiency. Methods Eighty patients with type 2 DN were randomly assigned in a ratio assigned in a1∶1 ratio to sacubitril/valsartan(control group)or Buqi Xiezhuo Decoction+sacubitril/valsar-tan(treatment group)for 2 months. The aim was to compare renal function(blood urea nitrogen[BUN],serum creatinine[SCr],Cystatin C[Cys-C],β2-microglobulin[β2-MG],24-h urinary protein excretion, inflammatory cytokines[inter-leukin 17A[IL-17A],high-sensitivity C-reactive protein[hs-CRP],tumor necrosis factor-α[TNF-α]),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score. The curative effect and incidence of adverse reactions were assessed. Results The overall effective rate in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(90.0%[36/40]vs 72.5%[29/40],P<0.05).After treatment,BUN,SCr,Cys-C,β2-MG,24-h urinary protein excretion in the both groups were significantly de-creased(P<0.05),which decreased notably in the treatment group compared with the control group(P<0.05).IL-17A,hs-CRP and TNF-α levels in the both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),the decrease in the treatment group was more common relative to the control group(P<0.05).None of the incidence of adverse reactions differed significantly between groups(P>0.05).After treatment,TCM symptom scores in the both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),which were significantly lower in the treatment group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Buqi Xiezhuo Decoction combined with sacubitril valsartan sodium tablets can effectively improve renal function, urine protein,TCM syndrome, decrease IL-17A,hs-CRP,TNF-α levels, and reduce inflammatory response in patients with type 2 DN(spleen-kidney qi deficiency).
