Clinical efficacy of auricular point sticking combined with acupoint patching on postoperativepain and constipation in patients underwent anorectal surgery
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of auricular point sticking combined with acupoint patching on postoperativepain and constipation in patients underwent anorectal surgery. Methods A total of 70 patients who underwent ano-rectal surgery in our hospital September 2022 to August 2023 were enrolled, and they were randomly assigned into observation group(n=35)and control group(n=35).All patients were managed by conventional treatment, and those in observation group were additionally treated with auricular point sticking combined with acupoint patching.Treated for 7 days, the aim was to com-pare visual analogue scale(VAS)for pain, improvement of constipation, the incidence of complication and adverse reactions. The clinical efficacy was assessed. Results The overall effective rate in the observation group was better than that in the control group(94.29%[33/35]vs77.14%[27/35],P<0.05).After treatment,VAS score in the both groups was significantly de-creased(P<0.05),which was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Significantly shorter first defecation time and of defecation duration, and significantly higher weekly defecation frequency were found in obser-vation group than those of control group(all P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).None of the incidence of adverse reactions differed significantly be-tween groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The auricular point sticking combined with acupoint patching can effectively improve postoperative pain and constipation symptoms, improve clinical efficacy, and promote recovery in patients underwent anorectal surgery.
