Clinical observation of QingweiPowder on peri-implantitis afterimplant restoration
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Qingwei Powder in the treatment of peri-implantitis after implant restoration.Methods Ninety-four patients with peri-implantitisafter implant restorationwere randomly assigned into control group(n=47)and observation group(n=47).All patients received oral local minocycline hydrochloride+metronidazole after operation,those in the observation group additionally received modified Qingwei Powder.The 1-month treatment and 1-year follow-up were performed in the two groups,aiming to compare the treatment time,postoperative swelling time and pain time of peri-implant soft tissue,implant success rate,alveolar bone width and height,patient satisfaction.Results The treatment time,postoperative swelling time and pain time of peri-implant soft tissue in the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05).The implant success rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(93.62%[44/47]vs 80.85%[38/47],P<0.05).The two groups had significantly increased 6-month alveolar bone width,and decreased alveolar bone height(both P<0.05).The 6-month alveolar bone width and height in the observation group were similar to the control group(P>0.05).The comfort score and chewing function score of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Campared with local minocycline hydrochloride+metronidazole,QingweiPowder on peri-implantitis afterimplant restorationhas a significant effect,it can shorten treatment time,postoperative swelling time and pain time,improve the implant success rate.
