Clinical efficacy of Wumei Pill for helicobacter pylori positive chronic atrophic gastritis of cold and heat miscellaneous type
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Wumei Pill for helicobacter pylori(Hp)-positive chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)of cold and heat miscellaneous type.Methods Sixty patients with Hp-positive CAG of cold and heat miscellaneous type were randomly assigned into treatment group(n=30)and control group(n=30).All patients were managed by routine quadruple therapy,and those in treatment group were additionally treated with Wumei Pill.treated for 14 days,the aim was to compare Hp clearance rate,incidence of adverse reactions,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,interleukin 1β(IL-1β),interleukin 6(IL-6).The curative effect was assessed.Results The overall effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(96.67％[29/30]vs 73.33％[22/30],P＜0.05).After treatment,TCM symptom(main symptom and secondary symptoms)scores,IL-1 β and IL-6 levels in groups were significantly decreased(P＜0.05),which decreased notably in the treatment group compared with the control group(P＜0.05).The Hp clearance rate was significantly higher in the treatment group compared with the control group(96.67％[29/30]vs 73.33％[22/30]),P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(3.33％[1/30]vs 33.33％[10/30],P＜0.05).Conclusion Wumei Pill can improve clinical efficacy,Hp clearance rate and clinical symptoms,and inhibit IL-1 β and IL-6 levels in patients with Hp-positive CAG of cold and heat miscellaneous type.
