The rapeutic effect of warming acupuncture combined with scraping on tension headache of stagnation of brain collaterals type and its effect on craniocerebral hemodynamics
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of warming acupuncture combined with scraping in treatment of tension headache of stagnation of brain collaterals type and its effect on craniocerebral hemodynamics. Methods Sixty patients with tension headache of stagnation of brain collaterals type were randomly divided into control group and observation group,30 cases each.Control group was treated with acupuncture combined with scraping, while observation group was treated with warming acupuncture combined with scraping. The treatment lasted for 6 weeks with twice a week. Both groups were treated with amitriptyline 25~50 mg/d.The changes of headache, anxiety and depression, and cerebral blood flow of the patients were compared, and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05);compared with before treatment, the degree, frequency and attack time of headache in both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05);Headache Impact Test(HIT-6),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)scores decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the blood flow velocities of anterior cerebral artery(ACA),middle cerebral artery(MCA),and posterior cerebral artery(PCA)were significantly increased after treatment;the improvement of above indexes in observation group were more obvious than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Warming acupuncture combined with scraping therapy can significantly relieve headache symptoms, relieve anxiety and depression, improve brain blood circulation in patients with headache.
