Evaluation of the therapeutic effect of"floating needle reperfusion"in treat-ment of upper limb flexor spasm after stroke in hemiplegia
Objective To observe the efficacy of"floating needle reperfusion"in treatment of upper limb flexor spasm. Methods Sixty patients with upper limb flexor spasm were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 30 cases in each group.Control group received rehabilitation training, while treatment group received floating needle reperfusion on the basis of control group. The total effective rate, including the scores of Modified Ashworth Scale(MAS),Fugl Meyer Assessment Scale(FMA),and the mean values of the Young's modulus of the biceps brachii, brachialis, and pronator teres muscles at 90° elbow flexion of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was higher than control group(P<0.05);MAS scores of both groups were lower than before treatment, and was lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);while FMA scores were higher, and was higher in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);the mean values of the Young's modulus of the biceps brachii, brachialis, and pronator teres muscles at 90° elbow flexion in both groups were lower than before treatment, and were lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Floating needle reperfusion therapy can reduce muscle tension, improve upper limb motor function, reduce muscle stiffness, and has a better therapeutic effect on patients with upper limb flexor spasm.
