Clinical efficacy of Qizhi Hypoglycemic Tablets combined with α-lipoic acid in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Objective To observe the efficacy of Qizhi Hypoglycemic Tablets combined with α-lipoic acid in treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods A total of 148 patients with DPN were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,74 cases each.Control group was treated with α-lipoic acid,and treatment group was treated with Qizhi Hypoglycemic Tablets on the basis of control group.The remission rate and total effective rate were compared between the two groups,and fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour plasma glucose(2 hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein(LDL-C),whole blood high-cut viscosity(WBLSR),whole blood low-cut viscosity(WBHSR),plasma viscosity(PV),and hematocrit(HCT),the median nerve(MN),tibial nerve(TN),common peroneal nerve(CPN),motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV),sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)were measured.Results After treatment,the remission rate and total effective rate of treatment group were higher than those of control group(P＜0.05),and the FPG,2 hPG,HbA1c,HOMA-IR,TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,WBLSR,WBHSR,PV,and were lower in treatment group than control group(P＜0.05);HDL-C were increased in both groups,which were higher in observation group than control group(P＜0.05),and the MNCV and SNCV of MN,TN and CPN in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and were higher in treatment group than control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Qizhi Hypoglycemic Tablets combined with α-lipoic acid in treatment of DPN can effectively alleviate the symptoms of TCM and Western medicine,regulate glucose and lipid metabolism,improve blood rheology,and increase nerve conduction velocity.
