Clinical observation of eye acupuncture combined with basic Western therapy on stroke spastic paralysis
Objective To observe the efficacy of eye acupuncture combined with basic Western therapy in treatment of stroke spastic paralysis(SSP).Methods Eighty patients with SSP were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,40 cases each.Control group was treated with basic Western therapy, while treatment group was treated with eye acupuncture on the basis of control group. The efficacy, the scores of Lower Limb Modified Ashworth(MAS)Scale,Lower limb Fugl-Meyel motor Function(FMA)Scale,Modified Barthel Index(MBI)Scale,Comprehensive Spasticity(CSS)Scale, passive range of motion(PROM)and ankle dorsiflexion angle(ADA)were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in treatment group was higher than control group(P<0.05),the lower limb MAS grade in both groups was lighter than before treatment, which was lighter in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);the lower limb FMA and MBI scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment, which were higher in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);the CSS scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment, which were lower in treatment group than control group;the PROM and ADA scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment, which were higher in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);the hs-CRP and Hcy in both groups were lower than those before treatment, which were lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Eye acupuncture combined with basic Western therapy can better improve the efficacy of neurological function and lower limb spasticity, improve the range of motion and daily living ability of lower limbs, and down-regulate the levels of hs-CRP and Hcy in treatment of SSP.
