Clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with Banxia Xingxin Decoction in treatment of elderly patients with diabetic gastroparesis
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with Banxia Xingxin Decoction in treatment of elderly patients with diabetic gastroparesis(SDG).Methods 120 SDG patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,with 60 cases in each group.Control group was treated with Western medical methods,and treatment group was treated with acupuncture combined with Banxia Xingxin Decoction.After treatment,the total effective rate,fasting blood glucose(FBG),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),symptom score,gastric emptying time,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score,plasma fibrinogen(FIB),whole blood viscosity(WBV)levels and recurrence rate at 8 weeks after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(P＜0.05);the levels of FBG,2 hPG,HbA1c,symptom score,gastric emptying time,PSQI score,FIB and WBV in treatment group were lower than those before treatment,and were lower in treatment group than control group(P＜0.05);the recurrence rate of treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group at 8 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with Banxia Xingxin Decoction has good efficacy in treatment of SDG,which can reduce the recurrence rate,significantly reduce blood sugar and symptom scores,accelerate gastric emptying,improve sleep,and regulate blood rheology.
