Clinical observation on acupoint threads embedding in treatment of post-dialysis fatigue in maintenance hemodialysis patients
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint threads embedding in treatment of fatigued patients after maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Methods 66 patients with post-MHD fatigue were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 33 cases in each group.Control group underwent MHD,while treatment group underwent MHD+acupoint embedding. The clinical fficacy,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score and total score, hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),Functional Assessment-Fatigue Scale for Chronic Disease Treatment(FACIT)score, and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score of the two groups were evaluated. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05);the PSQI score and total score of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);hs-CRP and IL-6 levels in treatment group were lower than those before treatment, and were lower than those in control group(P<0.05);FACIT scores of both groups were higher than that before treatment, while HAMA scores were lower, and both scores were superior in treatment group to those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint threads embedding has a good effect on fatigue after MHD,improving sleep quality, reducing micro-inflammatory response, and improving fatigue and anxiety.
