Efficacy study on electroacupuncture application in treatment of patients with intestinal paralysis after laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer
Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture application in patients with intestinal paralysis after laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer. Methods 251 patients with intestinal paralysis after laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer were divided into control group(126 cases)and treatment group(125 cases).Control group underwent single-incision plus one-port laparoscopic radical colorectal cancer resection, while treatment group received electroacupuncture application after single-incision plus one-port laparoscopic radical colorectal cancer resection. The clinical efficacy, the first defecation, exhausting and eating time, white blood cell count(WBC),amyloid A(SAA),and C-reactive protein(CRP)levels,Prince-Henry,and Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale(GSRS)scores of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05);the first defecation, exhausting and eating time of treatment group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the levels of WBC,SAA and CRP between the two groups on the first day after surgery(P>0.05),and the levels of WBC,SAA and CRP in both groups on the third day after operation were lower than those in control group on the first day after operation, and were lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in Prince-Henry and GSRS scores between the two groups on the first day after operation(P>0.05);and the scores were lower in both groups on the third day than the first day after surgery, and were lower in treatment group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture application in treatment of colorectal cancer after laparoscopic intestinal paralysis can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce inflammatory factors and pain, and improve gastrointestinal symptoms.
