Effect of Xuanfei Zhike Granules combined with budesonide on lung function of children with cough-variant asthma
Objective To observe the effect of Xuanfei Zhike Granules combined with budesonide on lung function of children with cough-variant asthma(CVA).Methods A total of 90 children with CVA were randomly divided into control group and treatment group with 45 cases each.Control group was treated with budesonide,and treatment group was treated with Xuanfei Zhike Granules on the basis of control group.The efficacy,symptoms,daytime cough and nighttime cough scores,pulmonary function and allergic reaction indexes were compared between the two groups,and the disease recurrence rate was followed up for 1 year.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(P＜0.05);the symptoms,daytime cough,nighttime cough scores,immunoglobulin E(IgE)and eosinophils(EOS)in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and were significantly lower in treatment group than those in control group(P＜0.05);the forced expiratory volume(FEV1),forced expiratory volume at the first second(FE V1％),and peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)at the first day in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment,and were significantly higher in treatment group than those in control group(P＜0.05);the disease recurrence rate at 1-year follow-up in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Xuanfei Zhike Granules combined with budesonide can effectively improve the efficacy,improve cough and other symptoms,improve lung function,reduce IgE and EOS levels and disease recurrence rate,and promote recovery in treatment of CVA.
