Efficacy of needle-knife lytic method on suboccipital soft tissues combined with lifting chiropractic in treatment of cervical vertigo
Objective To observe the clinical effect of needle-knife lytic method on suboccipital soft tissues combined with lifting chiropractic in treatment of cervical vertigo. Methods A total of 134 patients with cervical vertigo treated in were randomly divided into needle-knife chiropractic group(68 cases)and electroacupuncture(EA)chiropractic group(66 cases).Needle-knife chiropractic group was treated by needle-knife lytic method on suboccipital soft tissues combined with lifting chiropractic, and EA chiropractic group was treated by EA combined with lifting chiropractic. The clinical efficacy,Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)score, improvement rates of DHI and Neck Disability Index(NDI)scores and the recurrent rate of the two groups were observed and compared. Results The total effective rate of needle-knife chiropractic group was higher than that of EA chiropractic group(P<0.05).At 1 day,3 months,6 months and 18 months after treatment, the DHI score and NDI score of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in needle-knife chiropractic group than those in EA chiropractic group(P<0.05),and the DHI score of needle-knife chiropractic group was higher than that of EA chiropractic group(P<0.05);the 18-month follow-up showed that there was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Needle-knife lytic method on suboccipital soft tissues combined with lifting chiropractic has good short-term and long-term efficacy on cervical vertigo, and this therapy can be carried out clinically.
