Effect of Liumo Decoction on bacterial diversity and intestinal function in children with cerebral palsy and constipation
Objective To observe the effects of Liumo Decoction on bacterial diversity and intestinal function in children with cerebral palsy and constipation.Methods 120 children with cerebral palsy and constipation(qi stagnation syndrome)were randomly divided into Liumo Decoction group and control group with 60 cases each.Control group was given conventional treatment,and Liumo Decoction group was given Liumo Decoction on the basis of control group.Intestinal function,quality of life score and intestinal flora were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of Liumo Decoction group was significantly higher than that of control group(P＜0.05);the defecation frequency,stool trait score and quality of life score in Liumo Decoction group were higher than those in control group(P＜0.05);the score of defecation difficulty in Liumo Decoction group was lower than that in control group(P＜0.05);Chao1,ACE and Shannon indexes in Liumo Decoction group were lower than those in control group(P＜0.05),and Simpson index in Liumo Decoction group was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Liumo Decoction can significantly improve the intestinal function,quality of life and intestinal flora characteristics of the children with cerebral palsy and constipation.
