Effect of Yibu Zhuyu Decoction combined with Western medicine on renal function, blood glucose and podocyte injury in early diabetic nephropathy with qi and yin deficiency and stasis
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yibu Zhuyu Decoction combined with Western medicine in treatment of early diabetic nephropathy(EDN)with qi and yin deficiency and stasis. Methods A total of 124 EDN patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 62 cases in each group.Control group was treated with Western medicine, and observation group was treated with Yibu Zhuyu Decoction on the basis of control group. The efficacy fasting blood glucose(FPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),2 h postprandial blood glucose(2 h PG),serum creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),glomerular filtration rate(GFR),24 h urine protein quantification(24 h UPO),urine podocin, nephrin, and various TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(P<0.05);the levels of FPG,HbA1c and 2 hPG in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05);Scr,BUN,and 24 h UPO in both groups were lower than those before treatment, while GFR was higher, and the above indicators were superior in observation group to those in control group(P<0.05);the urine podocin and nephrin in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05);the scores of TCM in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and were lower in observation group than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Yibu Zhuyu Decoction combined with Western medicine is remarkable in treatment of EDN patients with qi and yin deficiency and stasis, which can reduce blood sugar, improve kidney function, reduce the level of urine podocyte lesions, and improve TCM syndromes.
