Efficacy of Shufeng Jiedu Capsule combined with cefmetazole in treatment of acute exacerbation of COPD complicated with pulmonary infection
Objective To observe the efficacy of Shufeng Jiedu Capsule combined with cefmetazole in treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)complicated with pulmonary infection.Methods A total of 98 cases of AECOPD complicated with pulmonary infection were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 49 cases in each group.Control group was treated with cefmetazole,while observation group was treated with Shufeng Jiedu Capsule on the basis of control group.The total effective rate,mean length of hospital stay,forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume at the first second(FEV1),peak expiratory flow(PEF),maximum mid-expiratory flow(MMEF),partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),clinical pulmonary infection score(CRIS),CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,white blood cell count(WBC),hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),interleukin-17(IL-17),and cholinesterase(CHE)were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group(P＜0.05);the average length of hospital stay in the ob-servation group was lower than that in control group(P＜0.05);the FVC,FEV1,PEF,MMEF,PaO2,CD4+,CD4-/CD8+,and CHE in both groups were higher than those before treatment,which were higher in observation group than control group(P＜0.05);the PaCO2,CRIS scores,CD8+,WBC,hs-CRP,PCT,and IL-17 in both groups were lower than those before treatment,which were lower in observation group than control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Shufeng Jiedu Capsule combined with cefmetazole has significant efficacy in treatment of AECOPD complicated with pulmonary infection by shortening the length of hospital stay,improving lung function,alleviating symptoms of lung infection,improving immune function and alleviating airway inflammation.
