Research Progress on Flame-retardant and Sound Insulating Polystyrene Insulation Board in Architecture
Polystyrene insulation board(PSIB)is a new type of flame-retardant and sound insulation material,which is a composite material prepared by adding inorganic filler,flame-retardant and reinforced fiber into polystyrene,affording PSIB flame-retardant and sound insulation features.This paper reviews the application of composite materials including inorganic fillers and polystyrene in flame-retardant PSIB,research progress in halogen-free flame-retardant PSIB and achievements in sound insulating PSIB.On the basis of above discussions,the future perspective of flame-retardant and sound insulating PSIB is envisaged.
