Experimental Study on the Performance of OMMT/SBR Composite Modified Asphalt
In order to study the road performance of organic montmorillonite(OMMT)and styrene butadiene rubber(SBR)composite modified asphalt and mixture,the high and low temperature performance,storage stability and anti-aging performance of composite modified asphalt were analyzed through penetration,softening point and ductility tests,and the high and low temperature performance and water damage resistance of composite modified asphalt mixture were studied through rutting test,low temperature beam bending test,immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw split test.The test results show that OMMT can effectively improve the viscosity,high-temperature stability,storage stability and anti-aging performance of SBR modified asphalt,but the low-temperature performance is reduced;OMMT can significantly improve the high-temperature stability and water stability of SBR modified asphalt mixture,but is detrimental to the low-temperature crack resistance.Considering all aspects of performance,it is recommended to control the amount of OMMT at around 3%.
