Synthesis of Oxime Compound Capable of Selectively Recognizing Heavy Metal Ions
Oxime compounds with aromatic structure not only show good fluorescence properties, but also the nitrogen and oxygen on the oxime can coordinate with various metal ions,so these compounds are widely used in the detection of heavy metal ions.2-methoxy-4-bromobenzoic ester(2)were pre-pared by reaction of 2-methoxy-4-bromobenzoic acid(1)and thionyl chloride in ethanol.Refluxed compound 2 with cuprous cyanide in DMF(N,N-dimethylformamide)to obtain 2-methoxy-4-cyano benzoic ester(3).Compound 3 was reacted with hydroxylammonium chloride in sodium carbonate solu-tion to prepare 2-methoxy-4-formoxime ethyl benzoate(4).Compounds 2~4 were characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR,elemental analysis and IR,and the possible reaction mechanism was speculated.Electron absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy studies have shown that compound 4 has strong selectivity for Cu(Ⅱ),Fe(Ⅲ),and Pb(Ⅱ)metal ions, while it has almost no selectivity for other metal ions.
