Research on the properties of polypropylene and key processes of melt blown non woven fabrics
This paper selects several special polypropylene materials for melt blown fabric with different brands in order to study the key production process of high efficiency and low resistance melt blown fabric. It then uses a capillary rheometer to analyze the rheological properties of polypropylene materials and further studies the effects of the various die aperture and temperature, the various hot air temperature and air volume, and the various DCD distance on the particle filtering efficiency of melt blown fabric during the melt blown production process. The findings indicate that, the four types of polypropylene melts show the phenomenon of shear thinning, and their non Newtonian indices are all less than 1.The temperature must be strictly regulated in accordance with the properties of the raw materials during the production process,as the viscous flow activation energy of the four types of polypro-pylene melts varies at the same shear rate. The four polypropylene melts have good spinnability,a degree of struc-ture that is relatively small, and a structural viscosity index of less than 0.005.Furthermore,it was discovered that decreasing the melt blown fiber's average diameter and raising the filtration efficiency can be achieved by de-creasing the mold head's diameter, decreasing its temperature, and raising the temperature and DCD distance of the hot air under the same weight of the melt blown fabric. As a result, the following parameters were identified as the main production processes for melt-blown fabric:mold diameter 0.28 mm,hot air temperature 275℃,hot air volume 32%,DCD 180 mm.A melt-blown fabric with a density of 25 g/m2 was created. The filtration resistance is 17.9 Pa and the saline particle filtration efficiency is 98.8%at a flow rate of 32 L/min.
