Research on sequence structures of PEFT copolyester
A series of PEFT copolyesters were created using the transesterification-melt polycondensati-on method route employing dimethyl 2,5-furandicarboxylate(DMFD)and dimethyl terephthalate(DMT)in order to investigate the sequence structures of the polyethylene terephthalate-co-polyethylene furandicarboxylate(PEFT)copolyester.1 H NMR was used to characterize the sequence structures, length and reactivity ratio.Ac-cording to the findings,PEFT were block copolymers. The PEF sequence was less than 2 when the molar concen-tration of PEF chains in the copolyester was less than 25%.PEF was copolymerized with PET in the form of blocks with a sequence length greater than 4.07 when the molar content of PEF chains was greater than 50%.According to the reactivity ratio computation results,DMT r2=0.95 and DMFD r1=1.03.For homopolymerization with EG into the(F-E)structure,DMFD proved advantageous, while DMT component was beneficial for copolymeriza-tion with DMT and EG into(T-E-F-E)structure.
