Study on the Localization of Grease in Door Mechanism of Electric Multiple Units
A large amount of imported lubricant greases, typically introduced concurrently with the entire vehicle or its components, are used in the current maintenance processes of Electric Multiple Units(EMUs),and the maintenance department can only procure specified products, leading to supply vulnerabilities in exceptional circumstances and potentially disrupting the normal operation of EMUs.Furthermore, imported lubricating greases generally command higher prices, substantially increasing the maintenance costs of EMUs.With the accumulation of maintenance expertise, conducting targeted research on the localization of lubricants has become increasingly pertinent.A locally developed lubricating grease suitable for guide column-type EMU door mechanisms was successfully developed based on the analysis of the operating conditions of EMU door mechanisms. The field trials which used this lubricating grease as a substitute for imported products demonstrate that the locally developed lubricating grease exhibits consistent overall performance, fully meeting the operational requirements of EMUs.(Charts8 Tables4 References5)
