Development of a rapid visual detection method for chromium ion pollution
Carbon quantum dots doped with sulfur and nitrogen(S,N-CQDs)were used via click reaction based on acylation modification of chitosan to prepare fluorescent modified chitosan(NMCS-SNCQDs),which were characterized. The results show that the method is affordable, convenient and visualizatized.NMCS-SNCQDs not only retains the good fluorescence performance of S,N-CQDs,but also can selectively quench response to chromium ions. Its critical response concentration is 52 μmol/L.It has good gel formation, which can be used to develop fluorescent test paper/gel to achieve rapid and real-time detection of chromium ion pollution in water.
