Development and application of low MFR bimodal HDPE standard sample
High-density polyethylene(HDPE)100N powder with low melt flow rate(MFR)and a bimodal distribution of relative molecular mass was used as raw material, whose large particles and fine powders were first removed with a sieve.Subsequently, antioxidant 1010 and antioxidant 168 whose mass fraction were 0.2%respectively were added to it for blending and granulation to prepare standard sample with the removal of large, small, and irregular particles.Stability tests for oxidative induction time, melting point, crystallization point, and whiteness of samples were performed, along with determination of nominal values and statistical allowable range values for the samples. The results indicate that the nominal value of the low MFR bimodal HDPE standard sample is(0.226±0.007)g/10 min, demonstrating uniformity and stability of MFR of the samples.
