Effects of Two Organic Additives on the Multiplication and Growth of Dendrobium candidum
The effects of two organic additives (mashed potatoes, banana slurry) to MS on the multiplica- tion and growth of Dendrobium candidum are studied in this experiment in which Protocorms and its multiple shoots of dendrobium candidum are used as the materials. The results show that potato juice is more conducive to the clus- ters of seedlings multiplication and the result of mashed potatoes with 25% is the best. The rooting, root, root length of banana juice processing are better than that of potato juice processing; the average root length of three ba- nana juice processing is more than 0.65 cm after cultured 65 d; the average root length of banana juice processing with 25% is 0.84 cm which the result was best. Both the organic additives of banana juice and potato juice promote the growth of dendrobium candidum seedlings ; the average height of all treatments is more than 1186 cm after cul- tured 65 d; the average height of banana juice treatment is slightly larger than that of potato juice treatment, and the result of banana juice treatment with 25% is the best. From the experimental results, it is found that banana juice is more conducive to the multiplication and growth of Dendrobium candidum than potato juice.
