Effect of Recycled Carbon Fiber on the Performance of Conductive Concrete for Airport Runways
An environmentally friendly conductive concrete was prepared by recycling waste carbon fiber through mechanical treatment, the performance of the conductive concrete was evaluated by compressive strength, flexural strength, electric heat test and ice and snow melting ability test. The results show that when the volume fraction of regenerated carbon fiber is 3%,the compressive strength and flexural strength of the conductive concrete reach the peak, the 7 d and 28 d compressive strengths are 33.72 MPa and 42.57 MPa,respectively, the 7 d and 28 d flexural strengths are 5.03 MPa and 6.38 MPa,respectively. As the volume fraction of regenerated carbon fiber is increasing, the electrical and thermal efficiencies of the conductive concrete and its ability to melt ice and snow are rapidly improved. In the simulated ice and snow melting test, the temperature rises to 1.9℃after 120 min,and the temperature rise rate reaches 0.12 K/min.
