Effect of secondary amine compound content in monomers on properties of long carbon chain nylon 1012
Nylon 1012 salt was prepared by using decanediamine and dodecanedioic acid as raw materials and then was intro-duced with bis(hexamethylene)triamine as a compound containing secondary amine structure to prepare nylon 1012 by polymeri-zation reaction. The effect of bis(hexamethylene)triamine content on the properties of nylon 1012 was investigated. The results showed that the relative molecular mass of nylon 1012 gradually increased and the relative molecular mass distribution significant-ly became broad when the content of bis(hexamethylene)triamine was increased, and the polymer dispersibility index increased from 2.48 to 4.29 when the mass fraction of bis(hexamethylene)triamine increased from 0 to 2.0%;nylon 1012 exhibited an elasticity higher than viscosity in dynamic rheological behavior when the mass fraction of bis(hexamethylene)triamine was higher than 1.0%;the melting and crystallization temperatures of nylon 1012 gradually decreased and the thermal decomposition temper-ature gradually increased when the content of bis(hexamethylene)triamine was increased;the tensile strength of nylon 1012 grad-ually decreased and the notch impact strength gradually increased when the mass fraction of bis(hexamethylene)triamine in-creased from 0 to 1.0%;and the secondary amine structure of bis(hexamethylene)triamine participated in the polymerization re-action,forming branched and cross-linked structures, and the increase of cross-linked structure was beneficial for improving the tensile strength of nylon 1012.
