Production process of 560 dtex/72 f trilobal flame retardant nylon 66 FDY
A nylon 66 chip with a relative viscosity of 2.28 used as raw material was blended with a flame retardant masterbatch with 50%melamine cyanurate(MCA),a nitrogen based flame retardant,by mass fraction to produce 560 dtex/72 f trilobal flame retardant nylon 66 fully drawn yarn(FDY)by melt spinning on a chip spinning production line. The main production process conditions were explored. The results showed that the spinning process was stable with a top-quality rate of 91%and full-package rate of 82%and the produced fiber had good mechanical properties and flame retardance, including breaking strength of 4.4 cN/dtex,elongation at break of 40.7%,dry hot shrinkage of 6.1%,yarn irregularity of 1.2%and limiting oxygen index of 27.5%when the spinning process conditions were optimized as followed:5%MCA flame retardant masterbatch by mass fraction,18-hole spinneret with trilobal spinneret holes in diamond arrangement, melt pipeline temperature of 270℃,spinning box tem-perature of 281℃,cross air blow speed of 0.5-0.6 m/s,third hot roller temperature of 190℃and winding speed of 2600-2800 m/min.
