Direct melt spinning process optimization of 72 dtex/72 f full-dull PET POY for composite cotton-like fiber
Using polyethylene terephthalate(PET)with an intrinsic viscosity of(0.650±0.020)dL/g as raw material,a 72 dtex/72 f full-dull PET pre-oriented yarn(POY)for composite cotton-like fiber was produced through direct melt spinning process. The effects of spinneret and component filtration materials, spinning speed, quenching conditions, collection position, retarder temperature and oil nozzle structure on fiber production stability and performance were studied. The results showed that the production was stable and the service life of spinning component reached 45 d when the process conditions were as followed:a spinneret with holes of 0.46 mm in depth,0.16 mm in diameter and 3.0 in length-to-diameter ratio, metal sand as the compo-nent filtering material, initial pressure of the component 17 MPa;the 72 dtex/72 f full-dull PET POY produced had a full-pack-age rate of above 99%and an elongation at break lower than 120%,meeting the texturing process requirements of final cotton-like PET products, under the conditions of spinning speed 2950 m/min,quenching air pressure 28 Pa,collection position 600 mm,heat retarder temperature 290℃,an oil nozzle of washboard shaped oil mixing tank below oil outlet hole.
