Power Grid Cascading Failure Analysis Based on CCA
The previous blackout accident analysis reveals that large-scale blackout was eventually triggered when the local adjusting failure in the event of the source fault led to cascading failure and the subsequent grid operation environment deterioration.Based on CCA (cause consequence analysis) method and the basic features of power grid topology and control equipments, the causes of the grid cascading failure and the possible consequences after the control failure are analyzed, and the dynamic transfer process of power grid failure is elaborated. The case study of the largescale blackout occurred in South America and North Mexico interconnected power grid in 2011,verifies the applicability of this proposed method, providing reference for blackout accident analysis.
